Seal Dance

Beneath the covers of the ocean

I danced my dream with the wild.

Fairies of the fluid world-

with whom I came to share in their free-flowing flight

of playful water frolic.

At last, I have swum with the seals.

In their shallow water playground,

their underwater garden

they came before me, around me

with smooth, swift flowing grace of movement,

of beauty, power and ease.

How can I voice my heart of joy…

but to slip naturally into their share

of fluid freedom and playfulness –

this raw magic air of energy.

Through mirrored soul arching –

opening, offering of self

I twisted and twirled to their tune

through pure heart of play.

A singing dance of movement

through depth of meeting.

Filtered rays of sun above

streamed the essences of these waters that we moved through.

‘Come dance with me’….

A beautiful silent watery realm

 soft light of colours,

of ocean greens and blues-

of swaying green gardens of kelp.

As they slip and twirl through the passage of water

effervescent bubbles of silver, stream from their bodies

Like fairy sprays of bubble dust,

  – brushstroke blessings across the watery sky.

‘Come dance with us’….

So, in this magical suspension of fluid and time

beneath the covers of the ocean

my body sung with movement-

arched, twirled, propelled and stretched

through our shared heart of play.

I have danced my soul dream.

I have been met

in my meeting with the spirit of these

sweet fairies of the water world.

……Forever yearning now, to meet again,

returning to this sanctuary of play.

To connect with wild…………
